Knockaround Shades – Bring on the Sun!

Sunglasses are a must-have piece of gear for me – whether I’m running or simply outside in the summer months. That is, once the clouds and rain that envelop Vancouver give way to the spectacularly long summer days we are blessed with on the west coast. I can never have enough pairs of sunglasses! And that’s where Knockaround shades come in!

Imagine my delight when my Knockaround delivery arrived in the mail and I discovered not one but two pairs of Knockaround Premium Shades! I always have things delivered to the office and my colleague brought the compact package to my desk and waited around to see what was inside.

Of course, I got her and my other coworkers to help me model them.

We’re in that funny springtime where rainy days can turn to sunny days and back again, all within the course of a few hours. Often, I’m still in the office during those hours when the sun is in the sky. However, my first chance to model my Knockaround shades came during a walk home after work.

The Knockaround shades I received were the Black Ice / Smoke Premiums and the slightly funkier green-lensed Graphite / Green Moonshine Premiums.

I like them both, although the former more closely aligns with my style.

Because the weather hasn’t been especially sunny, I’ve had few runs with my Knockaround shades. However, when I did wear them, they fit comfortably, felt light on my face, and didn’t bounce around. And they kept the sun out of my eyes! So yes, exactly what I look for in a pair of sunglasses!
